About Us
We are animal lovers at heart. At times having community cats balancing other aspects of nature we love is a bit tough. Cats love to bring us dead birds, chipmunks, rodents, etc. It's not great, but we try to balance what we can by taking good care of the ones that hang out with us.
The truth is, I (Blair) never really liked cats until I met Chester. Mindy always talked about her sweet orange tabby, Maggie. When we started house shopping we found a house with an orange cat outside and knew it was meant to be. It turns out competitive bids and the ATL housing market thought differently! Imagine my surprise when I saw Chess slinking down the street during our first year in Midway Woods. I started feeding him, playing with him and we quickly bonded. He is my buddy and I now get it! #crazycatlady
We fund all spays, neuters, and care from our own pocket. So far this has been manageable with a small community of cats, but we do not offer financial assistance beyond the cats on our street. We do hope to set up a non-profit at some point. If you are interested in helping financially, please email me at wanderbea@gmail.com. This is in no way a solicitation of money, however, we do realize there are many ways to help. If you are able-bodied and want to help trap, please let us know. At the moment we have just one trap, but know there is a community of folks in Midway Woods that are always willing to lend a hand, a trap, or just some encouragement!
We love the outdoors!

Abita and Rosie
Both of these sweet girls were adopted by rescue groups. One in Louisiana and the other at Fayette Humane Society. Adopt don't Shop!
Rosie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 06, 2023, due to complications of IMHA. We miss her every single day.
Chess is a Mess!
Chester started this journey as he kept showing up in the most interesting places. The boy loves to hide in flowers and assist in gardening. We love him dearly and consider him ours, or we are his...hard to say exactly who belongs to who, but we definitely belong together!
Chess crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 11.10.2023. He is missed by the entire neighborhood. Rest Easy, Big Boy.
Chester and Rue
They are a bonded pair. We refer to them as the Grandads of our community cats. Chester grooms the others and Rue romps and has fun with them all.
